"Standing Firm, Moving Forward" - Phillipians 4:1

The mission of the Christian Educators
Association is to inspire and support Christian educators and encourage
community by providing opportunities for spiritual and professional growth
based on God's Word.

The CEA Executive Board and CEA
Convention Planning Committee have recently met. We want to keep you and your
staff informed on CEA news.

  • The CEA Executive Board has announced that the dues
will not increase for the 2010 CEA Convention. The dues will remain at
    $80.00 per member.
  • CEA will be joining with MANS
(Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools) in 2012. This is a great
opportunity to join with our Lutheran, Catholic and Baptist colleagues as
we seek to provide Christ-centered education. Although it is a Michigan Association, all of our member
schools from states other than Michigan are VERY welcome. Members from the
CEA Committees are included on the MANS planning committee. This is a
large convention and plans are already beginning to take place. We look
forward to meeting in Grand Rapids, MI in 2012.
  • The Convention Planning
Committee and Executive Board are currently issuing speaking invitations
for sectional speakers for the 2010 CEA Convention on October 21 and 22,
2010 in South Bend, IN. If you or one of your colleagues has a suggestion
for the Planning Committee's consideration concerning a sectional or a
speaker, now is the time to send that information to Brenda VanderPloeg,
    Executive Secretary.  cea@ceateachers.org
  • CEA is going green! For the
past few years we have offered our CEA program booklet both in print
format and electronic format through the CEA website - www.ceateachers.org. In 2010, all of the
convention information will be available on the CEA website. You will not
receive a printed booklet in advance. You will receive a small printed
summary of the schedule and sectionals available when you arrive at the
convention. Be sure to check the website before you drive to South Bend!
  • CEA and Calvin College are
excited to announce a partnership for the 2010 CEA Convention to again
offer teachers and administrators opportunities for professional
development. Look for more information on these opportunities in the
    coming months.
